At Hummingbirds Child Care, we believe the early years of a child’s life are among the most important. These years shape confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our goal is to provide children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they can grow, explore, and learn through play.
Located in White Plains, New York, Hummingbirds Child Care is a Licensed Group Family Home Day Care that offers high-quality childcare in a warm family setting. Because we are a small daycare, we are able to truly know each child and family personally. This allows us to build strong relationships based on trust, respect, and care.
Children do best when they feel safe, supported, and valued, and our environment is designed to provide just that. Every day, we encourage children to explore their surroundings, express their creativity, and develop social and emotional skills through meaningful interactions and engaging activities.
Meet the Founder – Felicia Walker
Hummingbirds Child Care was founded by Felicia Walker, a dedicated childcare professional with over 15 years of experience caring for children.
Felicia understands that the early childhood years are critical in shaping a child’s values, confidence, and self-esteem. Her philosophy centers on creating an atmosphere of love, respect, and trust, where children feel comfortable exploring the world around them while building strong social connections.
As both the owner and primary caregiver, Felicia brings compassion, patience, and experience to every day at Hummingbirds Child Care. She takes pride in providing a supportive environment where children can participate in developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning through discovery.
